75% off Miliani Product

So, I red from another blogger that Milani had a bunch of products going for 75% off. Knowing how much I love the brand, I couldn't  resist...

First off..

NEON Nail Lacquer- Awesome Orange- Just a neony orange.
Honestly, it's super sheer, you need a base coat base of white and two-three coats.
This is a dud to me....

Lipstick-Mandarina-neon orange, leaning with heavy red undertone.
Can definitely be sheered out but I love it full blown.

Minerals Blush-Mai Tai- coral, leaning more towards the pink range.
Everyone that's talked about this has raved about it.
Honestly I love it but I have a small issue with it.. Really just a little rant.
It takes a few layers to build up the color to what I'd like but with one layer you get a nice natural color.

Finally

Minerals Compact make up - True beige.
Finally a powder that isn't caking the slightly mattifies my make up and gets rid of oiliness.
Two thumbs way up.

Overall it's a half and half for me.
I only paid about $10 and saved around $25
So, nothing to complain about really,

Revlon Lip Butters Review

I have shades ranging from baby pink to deep berry red.
Overall, I really love these and I only have one issue with them.
I find it impossible to close them properly so no product is sticking out.
Other than that, they are like nothing I've ever used before.
They're like the most tinted lip balms EVER.

The shade range is great but the lighter shades (cotton candy & gumdrop) just don't suit my skin tone in my honest opinion.

Tutti Fruiti

A pale orange. I adore orange lip colors. This is the color I had been scouting every store for.

Lollipop

A deep purple pink.
I honestly didn't think I'd like this colro but it's just great. It really makes my lips look fuller

Red velvet.

Deep burgundy. I saw in one of Emily Noel's ( BeautyBroadcast) videos, her raving about this one... I knew I had to get it.

Cotton Candy

Pale baby pink. This just doesn't suit me.. It just too pale. It would look amazing on paler skin though for sure.

Gum drop
Pale lavender. I was really disappointed in this one, just wasn't what I expected.

Candy Apple
Apple red. This is the one thst started my love of these. It just looks good with everything so far.

Overall, I love these and hope to see more colors if at all possible.
If you don't have one, they are definately worth a try

Nail Haul #2

So to start off, most of these purchases were planed. Only a few were just random buys

Petites-Night- a sad excuse for a black. I've been trying to find a perfect black and thought there would be a slight chance this would be it. I was wrong. It's so light it's almost dark grey.

Cosmetic ARTS- unknown name- .Army green is the best way to describe it. I saw this at my local Ross and fell in love. It's slight muddy but not so much that it's unattractive.

Revlon Colorstay- Rain Forest-  forest green with lighter green and blue-green glitters. It's a close dupe to Zombie Zest by China Glaze, but not so yellow. Not as opaque as I'd hope but a base coat will fix that.

Nicole by OPI- Rainbow in the S-Kylie- multi colored, multi sized glitter. Very festive, and a nice amount of glitter to it. It's part of the Kardashian Kolor collection. Overall I had been looking at the display but all of them seemed to be out of this one.
All swatches are two coats unless otherwise mentioned
Nicole by OPI-Khloe Had A Little Lamb- Darkened Turquoise is the best way I can describe this color. Very opaque, very nice. Also part of the Kardashian Kolor collection.

OPI- Sparrow Me The Drama- Murky grayish pink, if that makes any sense. Part of the Pirates of the Caribbean collection. Very pigmented, Odd color but will look nice in the Spring

OPI- Mermaids Tears- grey toned mint green. Another color from the Pirates of the Caribbean collection.

OPI-Planks A Lot- Dusty lavender. Also, Pirates collection... Can you tell I loved that movie?

All colors in the collection seem very opaque and oddly dusty grey toned... overall nice collection.

OPI- Swimsuit....Nailed It!-Royal Blue with blue micro glitters. I believe it's part of the Miss America collection.

OPI- I Lilly Love You-pale pink with multi color almost flakey like glitter. I was disappointed by this unfortunately. In the bottle it looks bright hot pink but on the nail it's hardly pigmented at all.Reminds me of pinky glitter by Sinful colors.

Fingerpaints- Flecked- the green flakey from the collection. I adore green polish and this is no exception. I love this.

Overall I'm happy with this haul. It's the first time I've ever bought OPI nail polish and honestly, I'm not too impressed. I've seen colors a lot like them. Sinful colors actually comes out with dupes to almost every collection they come out with... I don't see the point in spending that much money on polish all the time.

Nail haul #1 of 2012

So this is the entire haul of polishes I've gotten since the middle of December.
As you might be able to tell I'm trying to start up a nice spring collection, starting a flecked collection and getting some great colors from some of the holiday collections available near me.

This is a wheel of all the colors, plain and simple.
I think I got a nice mix of dark and bright

These are the top coats and an OPI mini

Fingerpaints- twisted- It's a rainbow flecked glitter top coat.
I was really anticipating this collection and my local Sally's had the whole collection when I went.

Sally Hansen Diamond strength-Glass slippers- a flecked silver glitter top coat.
I had red a review on Makeupalley.com saying that this looks like broken glass on the nail.
Unfortunately I feel I must disagree, I haven't tried in on many colors, mainly black and what I noticed is it caused a cloudy affect on black.I'm on the fence as to wither I should bring it back or not

Sally girl- glow in the dark- I got this to test out a glow in the dark top coat before I bought Ghoulish glow by China Glaze. I was disappointed to notice it causes an odd bubbling effect on the nail

OPI- Obscure- a matte DARK grey
I just got this on a whim. I was it was being clearanced at my Target and decided to give it a go. I decided a long time ago I'd never pay full price for OPI because not long after most of their collections come out, another brands makes a whole collection of dupes at a fraction of the cost.
But all in all, I've never seen a matte color like this, especially this opaque

This is a close up of the nail wheel just of the blacks and overcoats. The color between Twisted and Glass Slipper is Asylum by FingerPaints. I brought it back the same day I bought it due to the fact that not only does it cause a cloudy effect, I just didn't like the odd red, green, and blue combo in this
Essie- Mamba- a nice pink based nude.
It's got a small amount of shimmer to it but not too obvious. I had been looking for a nude and just fell for this one. Color wheel picture in last picture

Sally Hansen-Diamond strength-Diamonds and Ruby's- a bright pinkish red with yellow base.
If you red my earlier blog I found this great color Ma Cherie by Orly. Unfortunately I had only bought a mini and I didn't want to end up running out. This is an almost perfect dupe to it.

Sally Hanson-Diamond Strength- Black tie- black base with heavy shimmer that changes from green to purple in different light. Now this, I always try to wear.. Honestly I think I'm addicted. The light changing effect is just great to me. It reminds me of Beetle by Hard candy, except black and not so much shimmer.

Orly-Emberstone- bright red with what looks like multi sized gold and orange glitters.
I bought this in the clearance area at Sally's, it just caught my eye and I felt like I had to have it.
The glitter is so dense you don't need a second coat and I always enjoy that.

Color Club- Kiss me mistletoe- a darkened milt green with heavy small green toned silver glitter.
Honestly, I was eyeing it when I bought the silver glitter color from this collection. It's scented and I just never even knew Mistletoe had a scent... It was on sale when I went to Sally's and I decided why not. Apparently mistletoe smells pretty good and I love the color, I've never really seen one quite like this.
Again, a close up just of the color previously talked about. as you might be able to see Black Tie is just a very unique color and I'm glad to have it in my collection.
Sally Hansen- insta dry-lightning- Just a straight up sun yellow. It's a little too pastel for my taste. It dried very fast though, which is a big plus for me.
Lo'real- tweet me- another yellow, more vibrant than Lightning and with orange and pink micro glitters.
Lo'real-L'orange- a deeper vibrant orange. Not very opaque to me, it took 3 coats to get the color shown on the wheel.
Essie-Aruba Blue- almost royal blue, very metallic. Not very opaque, took 3 coats to get color shown
