Walgreens (.99 sinful colors)

So due to my  snooping at drugstore weeklies and blog posts I found out about a sale on Sinful colors nail polishes at Walgreen's. I'm addicted to this brand and already feel their price is reasonable... So a sale made me slightly foam at the mouth. Also, they released new colors... I went to Walgreen's this past Monday and tracked down the new displays. This is what I got.......

Cinderella, Timbleberry, exotic green & Midnight blue..... Also The beauty Sponge..... I couldn't help myself...

Cinderella is a new color. Honestly I had seen swatches of it and I wasn't really gravitated towards it.When I was in in the store I fell in love. it's a pale blue with gold and pink shimmer. Two coats and it's perfect.

Timbleberry... it's an odd coral color.. sometimes in looks more pink others it looks orangish.. It's a creme color, no shimmer. One coat and I was a happy camper.

Exotic Green is a medium creme green. It's not neony or foresty just a nice straight green.
I've been trying to find a color like this for a VERY long time.

Midnight blue is a shimmering darker blue. Just exactly what I'd look for in a blue.

All colors are swatched with a base coat and two coats of the color. No topcoat.

Just for a giggle I topped them off with matching glitter by Sinful.

As for the blending sponge by London Soho.... I had seen they had two versions of this, one was the same basic shape as most beauty blender dupes are and the other ( The one pictured) that is odd, fat in the middle then tapered out on both sided.

I got this to replace my Sephora and Sonia Kashuk blender type sponges. The Sephora one is too dense to be comfortable and was too big of a pain to clean for me and theres something used to make the SK one that I am extremely allergic to. Overall, it's a bit too wide for me to hold in a way I'm use to but I've learned a way to hold it to where it works. I feel this really helps blend out my concealer and foudation to where it looks like my skin (only ALOT better)

Overall I only spent $14.00 even. ( I bought a random drink too)

John Frieda Full Repair line

So I've been using the shampoo, conditioner, fly away tamer and leave in for about 3 months.
At first the shampoo and conditioner was amazing. It make my hair soft and more voluminous with being oily or weighed down.

Well, Now that I've really gave my hair time to get used to this routine I changed my opinion on in....

I for the record have thick, wavy, dry, fly away ridden hair and dry scalp issues... I only dye my hair with a mix of temporary dye and deep conditioner (I used to dye and bleach my hair VERY often but I just don't feel a need or want to anymore) I'm currently trying to grow my hair out to chest length (for lack of better explanation) and my hair gets really dry at the ends and oily at the root easily. I do straighten my hair occasionally as well.

What I want in my hair care/styling regimen is ALOT of moisture but at the same time not oil. I like volume and bounce without too much fuss.....I thought I'd finally found what I was looking for in this collection... I started using this before a VERY much needed haircut (dry. split end Hell) I found a bonus pack at Target shampoo with the leave in and conditioner with the fly away tamer. I noticed a huge difference within the first few uses of the shampoo conditioner and leave in and loved it. My hair was softer and easily to manage I never found a reason to use the tamer, honestly a good hairspray or a quick brushing does better at taming my fly aways...

As time progressed I noticed my hairs condition dropped... My hair was feeling dryer and fluffier.... I like volume, not to resemble a poodle. Also, my dry scalp was flaking worse (not dandruff, just hardcore dry scalp). I've since stopped using the shampoo and conditioner and when I do use them I notice my hair just isn't happy.

As for the leave in and tamer.... I still use the leave in because I feel it makes a difference in the texture and softness of my hair. Let's just say you can tell when I don't use it ( those are my fluffy hair days). As for the tamer... I feel like I'm coating my hair with silicone..... in the end it looks like wet hair gel. I'm just genuinely not interested.

So. Bottom line:   I still love the leave in but other than that is collection is just a fail to me.
It worked for a little while but after about a month my hair hates the S&C

E.L.F. haul

So the entire ELF package came in this little bag..
Not necessary but cute.

The sweetheart collection.
Usually $30.00, they had to for a special spend $25 you get the collection for $2.00!

So collection includes:
Overall not as pigmented as I'd like but it's nice for a palette to just grab on the go. 4 out of 10

Essential Eyelid Primer in Champagne
It's glittery? That's my main issue. Other than that, works like most run of the mill primers. It holds colors okay and makes them last a little longer. 5 out of 10
Nothing special, soft and gets the job done. Holds pigment and I hate that. I dyed it pink the first use with one of my eye shadows.... 2out of 10
So, this whole palette reminds me of the all over color sticks. I use it under foundation to contour or over foundation as blush. I like them and it's nice to have 4 colors in a palette. The formulation is okay, alittle too oily but I powder over them to help them to stick 6 out  of 10
Surprisingly I love this gloss. I sheer out the color because baby pink looks odd on me. It's a sticky gloss but it stays through licking your lips and drinking ( it has a scent and taste that is pleasant, don't judge) 9 out of 10
First thought, the part of the package that you twist to make product come out is very flimsy. The color is a berry red. About as sticky as the glossy gloss which I personally like. It has a VERY strong mint scent. So if you arent a fan of mint stay far away 7 out of 10
I actually own these colors already. They are nice for starters but too sheer for me.
Fair pink is basically a white with the palest pink tint possible and medium red is a medium berry red
4 out of 10
The bag itself is nice, fits alot has a zip compartment on the inside on one side and an open compartment on the other. 7 out of 10

The other items I purchased are

Studio Makeup Mist & Set:
Overall it's supposed to be like a hairspray for your make up... It sprayed too heavy for me but I've only used it once... I didn't see a big difference in my make up staying
2 out of 10
Essential Liquid Eyeliner in forest green
streaky but the color's nice.. 4 out of 10
lip lock pencil
It made my lipstick stay inside the lines better. I like it  8 out of 10
eye transformer
A palette of green orange pink and blue highlight shades.
Its idea it to alter eyeshadow colors to the shade you use.
It truely works and I really like it
A little too powdery for it  9 out of 10

Overall I enjoy most of the products I got. I intend to purchase some blushes from the studio line and more colors of glossy gloss.

This brand is worth looking into especially since most things are either 1 or 3 dollars.

Kate Moss collection by Rimmel

So I already love most Rimmel lipsticks so when I saw this collection I knew I had to give it a try.

So these are the colors and overall nice selection.
Two nudes (at least in my eyes)
a bright odd toned pink
an amazing dark orange based red
and a deep voilet

No names to my knowledge.
Anyway, the pigmentation so great, the colors themselves are all very well thought up.

# 14.
a nude, it's like my lip color only slightly lighter

# 08
Again, a nude. My lips but deeper and slightly pink

#12

A pink, with orange undertones... best way I can explain it.

#01
An amazing orange toned red.
The color everyone is raving about.

#04
A deep violet,
Honestly, I can't see myself ever actually wearing this..
It just slightly terrifies me.

Overall. Great collection, I intend to keep them all and love them (except #04, just.... omg)

Check out at least one of these colors. Please, I don't think you'll regret it
